Sewer Root Removal in Ontario, OH 44906
Cut the roots out of your Ontario sewer line — and deal with the opening that let them in.
Looking for sewer root removal in Ontario? We work across the city and the surrounding Richland County area 24 hours a day, every day of the year, and we will tell you honestly whether this is the service your line actually needs.
Sewer Root Removal in Ontario — what matters locally
Ontario's 1986-era housing is mostly PVC with far fewer joints, so root intrusion is less common here than in older Ohio cities. Where it does happen it is usually at the tie-in to an older municipal connection, or through damage from previous excavation.
That is useful to know, because it often means one targeted spot repair rather than lining the whole run.
When Ontario properties need sewer root removal
- Repeat backups in the same line, several times a year
- Gurgling toilets or slow drains across multiple fixtures
- A camera showing root mass at a joint
- Mature trees within reach of the lateral — most of Ontario's established streets
- Backups that return within months of the last clearing
How the work is carried out
The method itself does not change from city to city, so we have written it up once in full rather than repeating it here:

What it costs in Ontario
Not every Ontario sewer problem is a full-line problem, and we will not pretend otherwise to inflate a quote. The inspection tells us whether you are looking at a cleaning, one sectional repair, or genuine full-length work — and those are very different numbers.
Serving Ontario and Richland County
We work throughout Ontario and the surrounding area, including the neighbourhoods around Village Park, Chever Park and Black Fork Mohican River. Whether your property sits on an established street with mature trees overhanging the lateral or in a newer development, the first step is the same: scope the line and find out what is actually there.

Sewer Root Removal in Ontario — FAQs
Will the roots grow back?
If the defect stays open, yes — typically within one to three years, faster with willow, poplar or silver maple. Cutting manages the symptom. Lining the pipe removes the opening entirely, and that is what ends it.
Do I have to remove the tree?
Almost never. The pipe is the problem, not the tree. Once the Ontario lateral is lined there is no opening for roots to exploit and a mature tree can stay exactly where it is. Removing a healthy shade tree while leaving a cracked joint fixes nothing.
Do chemical root killers work?
As a supplement between cuttings, partly. Foaming root-control products slow regrowth, but they do not remove an established mass and they do not repair the defect. Copper sulphate down a toilet — the classic advice — mostly settles in the trap and achieves very little.
